Ladies and Gentleman,

As Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, it is my honor to welcome the distinguished guests to this meaningful occasion commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

At this time of year 45 years ago, the Islamic Revolution in Iran emerged victorious. A revolution that succeeded through the vigilant role and participation of the people in the social and political arena, under the leadership of Imam Khomeini(RA), has established a system based on religious democracy for the Iranian society.

The Islamic Revolution in Iran, in a bipolar system, has presented a new model of independent foreign policy that does not rely on the global hegemony bloc and which is “neither East nor West”, to the people and governments of the country.

Since then the Islamic Republic of Iran has pursued a foreign policy that is not bound or restricted by a particular country or bloc or ideology and indeed, for more than four decades, Iranians have played a fundamental role in shaping their own destiny through democratic mechanisms.

The people and government of Iran, which boasts a long history in human civilization, have achieved remarkable success and achievements in various fields such as science, technology, and economy over the past 40 years since establishing a progressive governance system.

Despite hurdles, these prosperities have been unfolding while the country had been facing numerous challenges such as conspiracies and countless adversities like the imposed war, economic sanctions, and maximum pressure over the years and, Iran had managed to tide over these difficulties, efficiently.

The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while prioritizing Asia Pivot approach, has consistently pursued extensive and balanced development of political , economic and cultural relations with all countries worldwide.

In addition, the establishment of justice and equality in the international system and the fight against illegal and oppressive sanctions by the United States have been adopted as major foreign policy strategies over the past few years.

Distinguished guests,

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Korea, despite lots of twists and turns over the past six decades of the diplomatic relations and cooperation, have enjoyed long history of deep intimacy and friendship.

The two countries have maintained healthy cooperative relations in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture over the years, but the relationship is suffering difficulties due to a conspiracy against the friendly relations between Iran and Korea.

However, before long, the bilateral ties will reach its peak again with the will and determination of both governments, taking advantage of the potentials of both countries.

In closing,
while once again extending my sincere appreciation for valuable attendance in this auspicious event, I would like to offer prayers for those people suffering world-widely, hoping that terrorism’s dark shadow will be lifted, especially from the oppressed people of Palestine, witnessing daily mass killings of countless civilians.
A proper and profound understanding of the Palestine issue can only be dealt by recognizing the roots of the cause. No solution can come to fruition unless a plan is implemented to eliminate the causes of this crisis.
