On April 9, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco held the event official opening at the Multiculture Museum in Bulgwang-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, under the theme of “The House of Morocco in Korea", Treasure of the Mediterranean and North Africa, Maghreb."

The opening ceremony began at 2 p.m., starting with greetings from displaying the national anthem of Korea and Morocco (replaced by video) followed by the speech of Kim Yoon-tae, the head of the multiculture museum, who said ‘‘This exhibition allowed the guests to escape, the time of a visit, from the burden of the pandemic and to make a journey between dunes and oasis to discover the splendor of the Sahara ‘’ then followed by congratulatory speech by H.E Ambassador Chafik RACHADI and a display of introductory videos on Morocco including its southern provinces such as Dakhla city.

After that, congratulatory remarks were given by Rep. Ms. Jung Eun-young representative of Eunpyeong-gu District Council and Mr. Yoon Yeol-soo, head the Korean Museum Association,  All followed by  the commemorative photo and  there was an introduction by the Moroccan ambassador to Korea to the ribbon cutting ceremony.
In his speech, H.E. Chafik RACHADI, Ambassador of His Majesty the King to the Republic of Korea said: "The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco is are happy to offer items to help create Moroccan space in the newly born multiculture museum."

In addition, at the exhibition, you will find centuries of Moroccan cultural heritage  and treasures made from that culture. For those who cannot attend it directly due to the coronavirus, the event will be spread more widely through digital technology.

He also said Morocco is no longer a stranger to screens, where many directors and broadcasters have filmed in many parts of Morocco with its stunning scenery and unique culture, and numerous filming projects in the North and South of Morocco are scheduled after the Corona situation.

It He also said added that the recently successful Korean drama "Vagabond" which was filmed in northern Morocco as a high-quality infrastructure was provided to support film production. It is hoped that such active international exchanges between the two countries can be created through cultural resources introduced here., and concluded the greeting by watching the introduction video of Morocco.
