Hyundai Motor will install the Quad HD (QHD)-class built-in cam, which is four times better than the black box quality (HD) model, starting with the new car model in 2022. It is going to increase level of perfection of self-driving by applying various analysis algorithms and recognizing objects such as license plates, lanes, and cars in front of it.
Starting with the Grandeur in 2022, Hyundai Motor will apply the "built-in cam," a QHD-class vehicle built-in video recording device, to 14 partial changes and new car models. Hyundai Motor first introduced the built-in cam from the 8th generation "Sonata," which was released in South Korea in March 2019. There is a high possibility that external memory card support and voice recording support will be added. Voice recording is supported in an enabled or disabled manner. It is reported that Hyundai Motor's selection of suppliers is nearing the end. An official of Hyundai Motor Group said on the 13th, "The next-generation QHD black box with high connectivity will be applied to new vehicles with built-in, but detailed vehicle models cannot be disclosed."
