The 21st Century Human Values Forum 2017 invites Excellency & Madames 

in addition to senior diplomats from the Seoul Diplomatic Corps. to its 

official opening ceremony to be held on 13:00 p.m, Oct. 20th, 2017 at the 

Andong Culture & Arts Center.

With its vision, "Confucian culture brings a new light to the world again.", 

this forum aims to explore and realize new ideologies for a cultural 

community based on human. So the 21st Century Human Values Forum is 

often called as a cultural version of Davos Forum.

In a nutshell, Re-examination of Confucian values as an alternative to Capitalism 4.0, 

Formation of the East Asian cultural community with a special focus on 

Confucianism, and last but not least Establishment of the non-governmental global center for Korean humanism are its vision.

Touching upon its objective, Chairman Lee Yong-tae of Korea Foundation for Cultures & Ethics says: "The Foundation 

proposes innovative interpretations of traditional Confucian humanistic 

values for the present day in response to current trend towards greater 

levels of inequality and peril for humanity exacerbated by global capitalism.

Secondly taking a role as the mediator in the formation of the East Asian 

cultural community, The Foundation takes a role as mediator in 

establishing a new cultural community in pursuit of peace and prosperity 

of East Asia that has arisen as a key axis of world history.

Thirdly playing a leading role in advancing humanistic cultural prosperity, 

The Foundation builds an advanced base for making the 21st century 

human values in everyday life, industry, and global world a reality.

Excellencies & Madames can take part in opening ceremony, cultural 

program, research programs, realization events of Human Values etc.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, and Andong City, the 21st Century Human Values 

Forum will show Diplomatic Corps. on the other hand how Andong has 

been preserving its traditional values with visit programs such as Hahoe 

village, Dosanseowon Confucianism Academy etc..
