The Double Tenth Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) this year as well to commemorate the 105th anniversary became a venue for envoys & participants including Korean assemblymen as well as Korean partners to confirm that it is an important event for Asia's first republic and one heralding the dawn of a new era characterized by innovation, reform and the building of a more progressive, caring society.

Amb. Ting Joseph Shih & Mme. from Taipei Mission in Korea showed off a flourishing Democracy in Asia, hosting a reception in a hotel Seoul on Oct. 6th evening while many Taiwanese residents in Korea & guests amounting to over 500 peoples were attending. Among Diplomatic Corps., Dominican Amb. Grecia Fiordalicia Pichardo Polanco, El Salvador Amb. Milton Alcides Magana Herrera, & Paraguay Amb. Irineo Raul Silvero Silvagni etc. were on hand.

As the ROC further strengthens its robust economy and vibrant democracy—proud achievements in Asia — it will continue making the nation's culture, lifestyle and social diversity a global benchmark, said Taiwan Amb. Ting Joseph Shih by his welcome remarks.

According to the Taipei Mission in Korea, on Oct. 10, the 105th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the country reaffirms the determination and spirit of innovation that has made it a vital link in the global economy. The determination and ingenuity that turned this once agrarian island into an industrial powerhouse is alive and well, as Taiwan again undergoes an economic transformation, added a Taipei Mission official.

As it celebrates its 105th National Day, the Republic of China (Taiwan) seeks to deepen cooperation with all nations on the basis of shared values, according to Amb. Ting Joseph Shih. So the nation actively engages in climate change research, supports anti-terrorism cooperation, and works with its partners to tackle transnational crime.ICW (International Council of Women) president Kim Jung-sook who attended as a guest honor, praised gender equality of Taiwan, saying that women's political participation 32% of Taiwan is a parallel level even though compared with Western countries.
