"Fascinating & varied pluralism that is characteristic of Italian beauty"

'Italian Design Meets Jewellery exhibition' is taking place from May 22nd through July 2nd at the Korea Foundation Cultural Center Gallery.
In an opening ceremony, held on May 21st evening, 2014, Amb. Sergio Mercuri of Italy said: "Design, fashion and manufacturing of Italy are expressions of beauty and quality recognized throughout the world. Jewelry is an Italian excellence and represents a meeting point between art, fashion, design, and crafts".

This exhibition presents the most extensive exhibition ever dedicated to the jewelry of Italian designers, who are accustomed to dealing with various form ranging from furniture to lighting and face the jewel-like design theme for the first time here. At the opening ceremony, Mrs. Yulia B. Vnukova (spouse of Russia Amb), director Angelo GIOE of The Italian Cultural Institute, and Chairman & CEO Kim Young-ho of Ilshin Spinning etc. joined it.
Curator Ms. Alba Cappellieri, professor of Jewellery Design & Head of the Fashion Design degree course at the Milan Polytechnic's School of Design, explained: "In a time span ranging from the fifties to the present day through different styles and aesthetics, from the Post Modern Rationalism up to Minimalism, this exhibition includes great masters and young designers, industrial production and unique pieces, in a fascinating and varied pluralism that is characteristic of Italian beauty".
