Agerigna is a specialized IT keyboard development company headquartered in Korea. Agerigna said that in September 2012, at the time when smartphones became popular around the world, Ethiopians had no way of entering their language Amharic on their smartphones. To solve this problem, Agerigna mobilized linguists and professors IT developers to develop the world's first Amharic language to be entered in a smartphone.
At that time, Amharic was able to input conversion through English (without using the bridge input method and without entering about 260 Amharic characters one by one). By applying the scientific features and sound structure of Hangul, it is designed to allow anyone to easily and conveniently input consonants and vowels. Coding was researched and developed with Ethiopians and Amharic language experts who completed the computer science master course in Korea. As of April 2021, there are over than 2 million recorded of Agerigna Amharic Keyboard downloads from the Google Android app statistics.

However, there is a big problem to be solved. Agerigna developed the world's first and released the Agerigna Amharic Keyboard App with a release date in September 2012, and Google released the same (the same algorithm and output) Google Amharic Keyboard App in August 2018.
This is a clear violation for research and development as well as copyright registration and research published papers after working hard for about 10 years, but Agerigna did not make this a problem, so that many people could conveniently use Amharic language input on smartphones. The core spirit of Agerigna Amharic Keyboard is that as many as hundreds of millions of people (Ethiopian population about 110 million people) can happily use Google's Agerigna keyboard, it becomes a more convenient and better Google Amharic Keyboard.
More than 2 million people Amharic language inputs are enjoyed by the Android Agerigna App. Smartphone users already know that Agerigna is more enjoyable and more convenient than Google's input method, and that Google's input method is a lot more inconvenient.

Agerigna's challenge is to make Amharic language input more accessible to more people on their smartphones, and to get many people to use Amharic language input through Google, which has a particularly high name value recognition. We hope that Google will take over solve the Agerigna problem with wise judgment and request so that many people who use Android smartphones will use Amharic language from the Google Keyboard App, which is a socially moral thing that Google should do, which is Google's responsibility.
