It is well-known that the UAE has always been at the forefront in carrying messages of peace and cooperation to the world.

Therefore, this no doubt assisted us in winning the right to host Expo 2020 Dubai, the largest event to be staged in the Middle East, according to the speech of H.E. UAE Amb. Abdulla Saif Al Nuaimi held on Dec. 2nd evening in a downtown hotel Seoul.

Expo 2020 Dubai will showcase human achievements in many fields, with the participation of more than 200 countries, companies, organizations and educational institutions, according to the Embassy of UAE Seoul. To promote its EXPO 2020 Dubai, UAE Embassy is scheduled to host another reception next Monday in a hotel Seoul.

This global event confirms our nation's ability to connect and inspire millions of people around the world to celebrate human progress, solve global challenges, and create a better future, stressed Al Nuaimi.

Touching upon bilateral relations with the friendly Republic of Korea, the ties witnessed significant progress over the past decade, said UAE envoy, adding they had been elevated to “Strategic Partnership” in 2009 and again upgraded to “Special Strategic Partnership” in 2018.

As a result, the existing fields of cooperation have expanded, resulting in having been reinforced with the high-level visits made between the leaders of the two countries.

The recent visit was made by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to Republic of Korea, opening prospects for bilateral cooperation in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, according to the Embassy of UAE.

In terms of cooperative relations between esteemed UAE Embassy and NDNnews(www.ndnnews.co.kr) & its cultural wing Korea Culture Amb. Friendship Association, UAE envoy received last year’s Top Amb. Your Excellency contributed not a little to the relations between the two countries including many agreements and MOU which have been signed between the UAE and the Republic of Korea in different areas covering health, public management, small and medium sized corporations, and defense among others during Your Excellency’s tenure of office, stated the Screening Committee.
Since being upgraded to Special Strategic Partnership, a move reflecting the high importance the two countries place to each other during Your Excellency’s tenure of office as UAE top envoy to the Republic of Korea, the bilateral cooperative ties have expanded in all fields such as security cooperation, health and medical treatment, sports, education, and culture in the recent years, intensifying existing cooperation in the areas of political affairs, economy and energy, added the Screening Committee.

The above-mentioned policies are in line with the ones in effect in my country, United Arab Emirates, which maintains Special Strategic Partnership with the Republic of Korea.
