A total of 16 Summit meetings so far between Korea & Uzbekistan since diplomatic ties in 1992 shows how closely the two countries have been cooperating in the meanwhile.

Uzbek Embassy 28th Independence Day anniversary reception was such a venue to show off the two nations’ close friendship & strategic partnership for the Seoul Diplomatic Corps.

Uzbek envoy Vitali Fen who served as former Diplomatic Corps. Dean and worked during almost 18 years in the past, marks Uzbekisan 28th Independence Day with the Seoul Diplomatic Corps.

Because Uzbek Amb. Vitali Fen was not able to attend it last year due to his sudden trip schedules to Uzbekistan, this year’s his presence to mark Uzbekistan 28th Independence Day was more meaningful & significant, according to Diplomatic Corps.

Today, Uzbekistan is demonstrating a steady pace of development in all spheres under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Effective multilateral foreign policy serves as an important factor of increasing the export potential and expanding economic opportunities of Uzbekistan, said Fen by his welcoming address.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s speech took place at the Independence Day central festive event in Tashkent.

Currently, Uzbekistan has decisively entered a new stage in its development. In the process of modernization of the country, ensuring human rights and freedoms, the rule of law, a new, democratic face of Uzbekistan is emerging. The guiding force for us on this road is the priority idea “From national revival to national progress” embedded in the Actions Strategy, told Mirziyoyev according to the Embassy of Uzbekistan.

Touching upon the heart of Silkroad through his congratulatory speech as one of some Guest Honors, president Kim Chang-gun of the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Center Korea encouraged Korean investors to take advantage of such Uzbek’s enormous potentials, ranging from construction, education, to agriculture, medical business, culture, to name just a few.

Park Neunghoo, Minister of Health and Welfare (MOHW) who was on hand on behalf of the government, promised to take part in the forthcoming UzMedExpo for the mutual win-win between the two counterparts which will be held from Sep. 25th to Sep. 27 in Uzbekistan by dispatching Korean delegation who will comprised of medical CEOs, scholars and government officials etc.
