Annual Bastille Day function hosted by FKCCI(French-Korea Chamber of Commerce in Korea) to mark French National Day is one of the biggest events of the year for the French-Korean business community!

From several years ago, FKCCI has been hosting its annual Bastille Day party in the evening while the Embassy of France hosts its National Day reception at the Amb's residence as a form of luncheon reception for inviting the Seoul Diplomatic Corps. and dignitaries.

Without exception this year as well, FKCCI inspired the spirit of freedom, equality and benevolence by holding its 2019 FKCCI Annual Bastille Day party! in a Floating Island beneath the Banpo Bridge. FKCCI David Jalicon pointed out by his welcome address that the spirit of benevolence is more important than ever in the times the world faces confusion and conflicts like today.

The French National Day commemorates the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille on July 14th, 1789, a turning point of the French Revolution, as well as the Fête de la Fédération which celebrated the unity of the French people on 14th July 1790. The FKCCI, in partnership with the French Embassy and the French cutltural institute, said that after the success of last year celebration, we are pleased to present this edition for 2019 which from the Villa de Noche to the Convention Hall, the whole second floor was dedicated to create a festive atmosphere and good vibes for our guests.

Besides holding such annual promotion events to boost France's images, FKCCI is promoting that France possesses mighty investment environment alongwith Europe's major countries such as Germany as a hub nation of EU market as another important task & mission of its Chamber activities.

As regarding France's business environment, the response about innovation products such as ICT, electricity, electronics, auto technology etc. is in good shape. So IoT market is growing as recently, Internet infra expands and at the same time, medical & sports-related products & fields are emerging as promistng fields, according to FKCCI.

Thirdly, in terms of Korea-France economic exchange France is one of chief cooperation partners for Korea's security, economy & diplomacy, the 5th trade commerce nation among EU countries, and last but not least the 4th FDI nation to invest in the Korean market.

Through his France state visit of President Moon jae-in, Republic of Korea on Oct., last year, discussions have been made to strengthen cooperations including AI(Artificial Intelligence), commerce, investment, education, culture, to name just a few. With Korea-France Business Summit KITA & MEDEF International hosted jointly as a momentum, diverse business expansion between enterpreneurs of various forms are expected including large conglomerates between the two nations, backbone SMEs and startups, according to FKCCI.
