-19 African Embassies will participate to promote Africa targeting Korean public.

African Embassies in Korea will host “The 2019 Africa Week” events from 12th June to 15th June 2019. In this year's event, 19 African Embassies will participate namely: Algeria, Angola, Cote d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Egypt, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, and Zambia.

The celebration will start with a formal reception at Lotte Hotel Seoul on 12th June, which will be attended by the diplomatic corps, businessmen, and African communities. On the same day until 14th June, the Africa Movie Night will start by screening 2 African movies per day at the Seoul Cinema, in partnership with Korea-Africa Foundation (KAF).

On 13th June, the Africa Business Seminar under the theme “Integrating Africa in the 4th Industrial Revolution” will be co-hosted with Federation of Korean Industry (FKI) and KAF. The business seminar will be attended by Korean companies and African Practitioners to discuss the challenges and opportunities Korean companies find in the African market.

On 15th June, a cultural event dubbed “Africa Collabo Ground” co-organized with KAF will be held in Cheonggye Plaza in which African embassies will exhibit art, tourism and food. Besides, startups with creative approaches, as well as travel agencies and fields such as cultural contents booths will be in place in order to introduce African culture to the Korean public.
