-Korea's new Northern policy and Russia's new Southern policy got together

Korea's new Northern policy and Russia's new Southern policy got together through Korea-Russia Far East Business Forum, held in a downtown hotel Seoul on last Tuesday & Wendesday(May 21-22) respectively.

As the host of the event, The Republic of Buryatia briefed for Korean investors: "The Republic of Buryatia is a transport stronghold of the Northeast Asia as well as a center place of Siberia commerce, but because its industry infrastructure facilities are fragile, the Republic of Buryatia expects interest & participation from Korean companies which posess worldwide economic power and advanced technology".

President Alexey Tsydenov, the Republic of Buryatia, drew many attentions by introducing its ambitious "Baikal Project", saying that if the center place of ocean transport linking the east and the west of the globe is Singapore, the transport stronghold of the Eurasia continent is the Republic of Buryatia, Russia.

Through its business forum held during its 2nd day(May 22), Russia Stage 1 presented economic potential, tourist opportunities, investment proposals, and last but not least legends of Baikal water by each presenters. Russia Stage 2 introduced Ulan-Ude aviation plant, Rapid test for assessment of brain damage, confectionery factory "AMTA", Buryat plywood plant "OLHON", tourist complex 'Altan-Serge, and last but not least Baikal partner(tourism) respectively.

Buryatia President Alexey Tsydenov pointed out: "World economy depends on the existence of the future according to who preoccupies enormous resources Siberia possesses, adding economic powers Korea, China, Japan and Northeast Asia countries must secure economic powers by preoccupying the future resources more aggresively.
