unit of Hanwha Group, signed a US$260 million deal(308.1 billion won) with
Poland's state-run defense contractor Huta Stalowa Wola S.A.(HSW), according
to Majka.
In conjuction with such active Korean companies investment into Poland,
Embassy of Poland pledged to continue its work with Korean companies on
new investments in Poland, adding there are some new projects in the pipeline.
In terms of political consultations as well, Mrs. Joanna WASIEWSKA, Head of
Political and Economic Section said that in 2017 we hope and expect to further
expand the dynamics of political cooperation on different levels.
Cultural exchange also is an important priority area for the Embassy of Poland.
In that respect, the Embassy hosted Polish Day in Seoul, Maria Sklodowska-Curie
Exhibition & Conference, Polish Documentary Film, Polish Language Speech
Contest, and took part in Mosan World Cultural Art Symposium, the Embassies Day
in Seoul, Charity Events, V4-ROK Seminar on socio-political transformation in
Central Europe etc. 2017 will be a busy year with many interesting events in terms
of cultural cooperation as well, Majka concluded.
