With their very casual style, The New Year Party hosted by The Embassy of 

Georgia in a hotel Seoul on Dec. 6th evening has been an annual year-end event for the friends of Georgia including the Seoul Diplomatic 

Corps. since the opening of the Embassy several years ago.

Without the exception this year as well, Georgia Amb. Nikoloz Apkhazava 

& Mrs. Katherine Ivanova Apkhazava, spouse of the Georgia Amb. invited 

their friends of Georgia to their very casual party.

Georgia Embassy New Year Party

For reference, 5 864 684 international travelers have visited Georgia in 11 

months, according to Georgian National Tourism Administration. Respectively, 

number of tourists is increased by 19.3% in 11 months, while international 

travelers – 7.9%. Most of the visits were made from Azerbaijan, Armenia, 

Turkey, Russia and Ukraine through January-November, 2016. The positive trend is sustained with the EU countries: 

Latvia + 25.6%, Czech Republic + 15.6%, Lithuania +15%, Germany + 9.4% 

and Poland +6.5%.
