Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos asked the unity of Romanian peoples in the
solemn session of the Romanian Senate, dedicated to the National Day t
hrough his address as follows according the Embassy of Romania: For
each of us, and for us all, December 1, our National Day is a good occasion
for evaluations. It is the time when we can ask ourselves the reasons why
we are proud of this country and which path we follow for us, public
authorities, state, and society to meet the expectations. As we celebrate t
he Day of Great Union, it is the high time to tell it more than ever that
this path that we want to follow is one that we need to take it together,
Government, Parliament, central and local authorities, because only that
way, we can meet peoples expectations from us, from the Romanian
state, and the countrys representatives, elected or nominated.
Only that way, if each of us assumes in good conscience the path
to follow, and implicitly whereby a change of attitude, we can honor
our forerunners appropriately and we may hope that our country shall
meet our expectations.
