It is my great honor to welcome you all at the reception on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Since declaring independence our state and sovereignty withstood certain historical ordeals. At the same time within this period our country experienced fundamental changes. Kyrgyzstan has chosen the way of parliamentarism, the way to construction of a new prosperous and developed democratic state. Today we are carrying out profound reforms in all spheres of life in our country.
Now we can positively state that the hardest stage of Kyrgyzstan formation has been already passed and today we are independent, united and confidently moving towards our bright future. Moreover, our country is open for partnership and wishes to have friendly relations with all the countries. Thus the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic introduced unilaterally non-visa regime with 44 countries including Republic of Korea.
This year we are also celebrating 20th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Republic of Korea. Since 1992 owing to joint efforts of our states we have managed to build truly friendly relations which are characterized by mutual respect and trust.
I would like to underline that this jubilee year marked by accelerated development of bilateral cooperation between our countries through number of successful activities including visit of Kyrgyz Delegation headed by Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, working visit of the Vice Prime-Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and official visit of our Foreign Minister.
Until the end of this year we are planning to hold First Meeting of our Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation giving a positive impulse to our economic projects.
Today we have no discrepancy and unresolved problem impeding to advanced development of relations. We are holding active political dialogue, intensively developing cultural and humanitarian cooperation, discussing the ways of widening collaboration in the field of trade and economy.
Of course we need to further develop the level of our relations and we have a great potential in all spheres of cooperation. I do hope we can significantly expand and strengthen the range of our interaction in all fields of intergovernmental cooperation.
Distinguished guests, allow me raise the glasses for welfare and friendship of our peoples!
